Michael Chaput

Michael Chaput is a QA Laboratory Technician at Goose Island Beer Company since January 2020, where expertise in Fermentation Science is applied to monitor and analyze beer fermentation processes. Previously, Michael served as a Barrelhouse Brewer and Technician, managing a large inventory of barrels. Prior experience includes a role as a Harvest Intern at Benton Lane Winery, processing grapes into wine. Michael's earlier career in the United States Air Force from 2009 to 2015 involved work as an Airborne Mandarin-Chinese Cryptologic Language Analyst, with a focus on intelligence analysis and reporting. Michael holds a Bachelor of Science in Fermentation Science from Oregon State University and completed language studies at the Defense Language Institute Foreign Language Center.
