Lutz Thelen

Lutz Thelen is a Senior TVET Expert at GOPA Consulting Group since August 2023 and serves as a University Lecturer at Otto-von-Guericke University Magdeburg from September 2022. Since 1990, Lutz has been the Director of Studies at Mies-van-der-Rohe-Vocational-School and has been involved in international projects with organizations such as GIZ, PLANCO, and RWTH University since 2000. In addition, Lutz has held the position of Director of Studies at the TVET Teacher Training Institute Aachen since 1995, focusing on pre-service teacher training in machinery and production technology. From 2016 to 2020, Lutz was the Director of Studies at RWTH Aachen University and worked as Component Leader for TVET Teacher Training in Afghanistan in 2012-2013, where Lutz contributed to establishing a consistent system for teacher training. Lutz holds a Master of Education degree in Mechanical Engineering, Sports, and Educational Science from RWTH Aachen University.
