J. Greg Murphy

Greg Murphy was born and raised in Baton Rouge. He graduated from Catholic High School and received a Bachelor of Science Degree from Louisiana State University. In 1988, he obtained his law degree from Loyola University School of Law in New Orleans. He is licensed to practice in all Louisiana State and Federal Courts as well as admission Pro Hoc Vice, Federal Courts in Manhattan, New York; Cleveland, Ohio; Philadelphia, Pennsylvania; St. Louis, Missouri and Mobile, Alabama.

Immediately after graduation, he began his legal career as a prosecutor with the Orleans Parish District Attorneys office. Greg later transferred his position as an Assistant District Attorney to the Livingston Parish D.A.’s office. Through his trial experience, Mr. Murphy has prosecuted over 100 jury trials.

Mr. Murphy’s firm belief is that every case is different and every case is personal. He also believes that success and recovery of damages for victims is based on experience and strong advocacy skills. His vast legal experience, both as an assistant district attorney and as a plaintiff attorney, ranges from representing clients in 18-wheeler cases, adverse reactions to pharmaceutical drugs, traumatic brain injuries, disc injuries, ankle fusions, paralysis and victims injured by drunk drivers. Mr. Murphy has handled cases throughout the United States and has settlements ranging from $1 million to $42 million.
