Alex Plugaru

Born in Bucharest, Romania, Alex Plugaru always had a passion for computers and technology. Alex started coding at the age of 12 and never looked back. After graduating from high school, they pursued their passion by studying computer science at the University of Bucharest.

After graduation, Alex began their professional career as a web developer at INNOBYTE. Alex then moved to Eau de Web, where they worked on developing and maintaining portals for the European Environment Agency. In September 2011, they joined Gymglish as a web developer. During their time at Gymglish, Alex migrated a huge Zope/Plone application to a newer version, helping to improve the company's technology. Alex also created a deployment tool called Gutenberg that helped publish content automatically. In November 2014, they left Gymglish to co-found Gorgias, where they currently serve as CTO.

Alex Plugaru has a degree in computer science from Universitatea Alexandru Ioan Cuza din Iași. Alex also has a BAC in computer science from the High School of Computer Science.

Their manager is Romain Lapeyre, Co-founder & CEO. and Walter Danilo Galante - Engineering Manager reports to Alex Plugaru. They work with Philippe Roireau - VP of Business Development, Thomas Trinelle - Head of Product, and Aasif Osmany - VP of Sales.
