Allen Chiu

Allen Chiu has over 17 years of work experience in the technology industry. Allen started their career in 2003 as a Senior Engineer at ASUS, where they managed a team of six engineers to successfully launch Palm Treo 550v. Allen was also responsible for designing security and error-handling software for ASUS and its OEM phones, reducing system crash possibility by 20%. In 2008, they joined Splashtop Inc. as a Senior Product Manager, where they defined, planned and managed Splashtop Personal/Business for Windows Phone/ Windows RT/ 8.1. Allen also led nine cross-function engineers in Taiwan and six software engineers in China to execute the whole process from feature set definition and marketing strategy development to product mass production. In 2015, they joined Gorilla Technology Group as the Director of Product Development, where they led the Gorilla Technology product team including PM/RD/QA for new product development. Under their leadership, the product revenue increased by 100% in 2020. Allen also planned and managed Gorilla computer vision development, SW framework and new technologies development and integration. Allen was awarded multiple product awards for Gorilla IVAR and FVS.

Allen Chiu received a Master's degree in Computer Science from National Chiao Tung University in 2003. Allen also earned a Master of Science (MS) in Computer Systems Networking and Telecommunications from the same university in 2003.
