Ruth Kelly

Ruth Kelly has a long and varied work experience. In 1997 they were an MP for the House of Commons. From 2010 to 2011 they worked for HSBC, where they held the positions of Global Head of Client Strategy for HSBC Asset Management, Senior Manager for Asset Management in the UK, and Senior Manager for Strategy for Global Businesses. From 2011 to 2016 they were a Non Executive Director for National Grid. From 2016 to 2020 they were a Non Executive Director and Chair of the Audit Committee for the Financial Conduct Authority. From 2020 to 2021 they were a Non Executive Board Member for the Council for the Economy, Vatican. From 2019 to 2022 they have been a Non Executive Director for Heathrow and a Chair for Thames Freeport. Ruth is currently a Pro Vice-Chancellor for St Mary's University, Twickenham, London and a Senior Fellow and Lead Independent Director for Policy Exchange and Gorilla Technology Group, respectively.

Ruth Kelly's education history began in 1979 when they attended Millfield Junior School until 1981. Ruth then attended Sutton High School from 1981 to 1983. In 1984, they attended Westminster School until 1986. After that, they attended the University of Oxford from 1986 to 1989, studying Politics, Philosophy, and Economics. Finally, from 1990 to 1992, they attended The London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE), where they earned their MSc in Economics.
