Urs von Holzen

Urs von Holzen, MD, MBA, FACS, FSSO, currently serves as the Medical Director at Goshen Health, where leadership is provided for northern Indiana's first comprehensive cancer center, emphasizing world-class expertise and compassionate care. Additionally, Urs is the Chair of the Surgical Section and the Director of Surgical Oncology, focusing on the treatment of thoracic and abdominal cancer while excelling in minimally invasive surgery and teaching surgical residents and fellows. Urs also holds positions as an Adjunct Professor and Adjunct Associate Professor of Surgery at Indiana University School of Medicine, leading research in novel therapeutic approaches for esophageal cancer. Prior experience includes roles as Associate Professor of Surgery at Universitätsspital Basel and as a senior physician at Brigham and Women's Hospital and Fox Chase Cancer Center. Educational background includes an MD from the University of Zurich and an MBA from Indiana University - Kelley School of Business.
