Derek Moe

Derek Moe has had a diverse range of work experiences throughout their career. In 1994, they worked as a Formulator at Syntex, where they stayed until 1995. Derek then joined Agouron Pharmaceuticals Inc. as a Senior Scientist, responsible for formulating four new compounds. Derek later joined CIMA Labs in 2001 and held the role of Vice President, Drug Delivery Technologies. At CIMA Labs, they led a team of scientists in various areas of drug delivery research and development. In 2017, Derek transitioned to VP Pharmaceutics at Magothy Consulting Group / Ceutix Labs before moving on to their current role as Senior Director of Product Development at Gossamer Bio in 2018. Derek's experience includes extensive interaction with the FDA and participation in regulatory affairs and project management.

Derek Moe obtained their Bachelor of Arts degree in Chemistry and Math from St. Olaf College, where they studied from 1986 to 1989. Following this, they pursued their Ph.D. in Pharmaceutics at the University of Minnesota, completing their doctoral degree from 1989 to 1994.
