Dr. Alfons Priessner

Dr. Alfons Priessner has a diverse work experience spanning multiple industries and roles. Dr. Alfons is currently working at GoStudent as the Chief Operating Officer (COO) Studienkreis, where they are responsible for leading the strategy and building the #1 global school. Dr. Alfons has also served as the Chief of Staff and Lead Strategy, overseeing the disruption of the tutoring market and raising over 550M € in funding. In addition, Dr. Priessner has held various leadership positions at GoStudent, including Lead M&A/Corporate Development + Integration Office, Support CEO in Leading Data Department, and Lead Investor Relations.

Prior to their current role, Dr. Priessner worked at McKinsey & Company as an Engagement Manager for six years, where they gained extensive experience in strategic consulting. Dr. Alfons has also worked as a Guest Lecturer at Carinthia University of Applied Sciences and as a PhD Research Associate at Alpen Adria University Klagenfurt / Wifi Vienna.

Dr. Priessner's earlier experiences include internships at McKinsey & Company, The Boston Consulting Group, and Citi. Dr. Alfons has also served as General Manager of Uni Management Club and worked as an Associate Intern at KPMG.

Dr. Alfons Priessner completed their Master class in Strategy/Innovation/Management Control from WU (Vienna University of Economics and Business) in 2013.
