The Pro-Vice-Chancellor is the Vice-Chancellor’s deputy, whose assigned appointment follows that of the Vice-Chancellor’s. Mette Sandoff is a Professor in Public Administration. Since August 2021 Sandoff is Acting Pro-Vice-Chancellor at the University of Gothenburg. Right before, 2012-2021, she had the position as the Deputy Vice-Chancellor, strategically responsible for education and Head of the University's Board of Education. Former managerial positions are among others Vice-Dean at the School of Business, Economics and Law, Head of the Department of Business Administration and Board member of Universeum Science Park.
