Jose E. Puente

Jose E. Puente is a seasoned professional with over a decade of experience in the technology, telecommunications, and financial services industries. In 2018, they co-founded and became the CEO of gotmy, an app for content creators and influencers to host and monetize virtual events with their followers and fans. In 2020, the technology evolved to a white label 3D environment that allowed big brands and influencers to have their own complete metaverse on their website.

Prior to that, Puente was an Advisor at ALISYS, a customer relationship solutions provider, and a Regulatory & Technology Consultant. In 2011, they became Managing Partner at TALK-Q, a company that partners with Ready Player Me, Unity 3D and Babylon.

In 2010, they co-founded LEAD TELECOM, a US international telecommunications carrier, and was an Independent Consultant at GERSON LEHRMAN GROUP, a venture-backed private corporation. Jose E. also served as a Blockchain & Regulatory Advisor at BELIEVE, a FinTech group of companies, and as a Technology & Regulatory Advisor at ECONECTIA UNIASSER, a telecom service provider. In 2015, Puente was a Business Development Advisor at NUBIBOX.

Most recently, Puente has been a Participant Member of the Metaverse Standards Forum since 2022, and an Independent Consultant at proSapient, a software platform that helps make better decisions.

Jose E. Puente obtained their Master of Science (MSc) in Telecommunications Engineering from the Universidade de Vigo between 1990 and 1997. In September 1999, they were granted a Licensed Telecommunications Engineer certification by the COIT AEIT Colegio Oficial y Asociación Española de Ingenieros de Telecomunicación.
