Jean-Francois Tremblay has extensive work experience spanning over several companies and roles. Jean-Francois began their career as a Software Developer at Softimage in 1997 and then moved on to Nortel Networks as part of the OC-192 Firmware team. After that, they worked as a Routing Protocols Developer at Hyperchip and as a Developer and Sales Engineer at Hexago.
In 2006, Tremblay joined Trellia Networks as a Network Engineer and later transitioned to Videotron as a Principal Access and IPv6 Network Analyst. At Videotron, they played a key role in designing and deploying IPv6, including domain-based 6RD and IP address planning. Jean-Francois was involved in various projects such as BGP peering and transit, CableLabs, CCAP, Docsis 3.1, SDN, and distributed cable architectures.
From 2014 to 2015, Tremblay worked at Viagénie as a Senior Network Engineer, and then moved on to Hydro Québec. At Hydro Québec, they held positions as an IP/MPLS Telecommunications Engineer and later as an IP/MPLS Architect.
In 2019, Tremblay joined LogMeIn as a Staff Network Specialist and Network Team Lead for North America. Jean-Francois'sresponsibilities included leading the network team and specializing in network operations.
Most recently, starting in 2022, Tremblay has been working at GoTo as the Sr. Manager, Network - Global Infrastructure Services, and starting in 2023, they took on the role of Principal Devops Engineer.
Throughout their career, Tremblay has demonstrated expertise in various areas such as software development, network engineering, DevOps, and IP/MPLS architecture.
Jean-Francois Tremblay completed a Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering from Université de Sherbrooke from 1996 to 2000. Additionally, they obtained the certification of AWS Certified Solutions Architect - Associate from Amazon Web Services in December 2021.
