Brian Gilbert

Brian Gilbert is the Managing Partner and Chair of the Corporate Practice at Gould & Ratner LLP, where Brian has worked since September 1988. With extensive experience representing privately held and family-run businesses, as well as lenders, Brian specializes in sophisticated corporate transactions, including mergers, acquisitions, secured and unsecured lending, and generational transfers for family businesses. Brian's diverse client base spans multiple industries, such as telecommunications, high-tech manufacturing, digital marketing, and banking. Recognized as an Illinois Leading Lawyer since 2011 in several corporate law areas, Brian's prior experience includes serving as an Associate at Chapman and Cutler LLP from September 1987 to September 1988. Brian holds a J.D. from Duke University School of Law and a B.S. in Accountancy from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign.
