Jeff Fitchett is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in information and communications technology (ICT) and engineering. Currently serving as the A/Director of Technical Regulations and Conformance at Innovation, Science and Economic Development, Jeff leads efforts in ICT critical infrastructure protection, focusing on cybersecurity, disaster resiliency, and the implications of emerging technologies. In addition, as a Senior IT Architect with the Government of Canada, Jeff is responsible for the strategic vision of next-generation ICT services. Jeff also operates as the President of AriTan Research, specializing in R&D and consulting on experimental technologies. Before these roles, Jeff held various positions at Nortel and Stentor, contributing significantly to healthcare and optical technologies. With an academic background that includes a PhD in Engineering Physics from Carleton University and degrees in Electrical and Computer Engineering from the University of Manitoba, Jeff combines practical experience with a robust educational foundation.
