Jenna Sudds serves as the Member of Parliament for Kanata—Carleton and is currently the Minister of Families, Children, and Social Development with the Government of Canada, having previously held roles as Parliamentary Secretary for Women, Gender Equality, and Youth. Prior to their federal role, Jenna was Deputy Mayor and Ottawa City Councillor for Kanata North Ward 4, actively participating in various committees including Community and Protective Services and the Finance and Economic Development Committee. Jenna's extensive board experience includes positions with Hydro Ottawa, Open City Network, Kanata North Business Association, and as Director at the Centre Shaw Centre. Jenna also served as the inaugural Executive Director of the CIO Strategy Council, cultivating a collaborative platform for Canadian CIOs. As an entrepreneur, Jenna founded TEDxKanata and the Ottawa Autonomous Vehicle Summit, contributing to innovation in community engagement and technology. Jenna holds a Master of Arts in Economics from Carleton University and a Bachelor of Arts in Economics from Brock University.
