Lazarus Joseph AFNI has over 30 years of experience in the maritime industry, currently serving as a Senior Pilot at Grenada Ports Authority since July 1993, where duties include performing pilotage on various vessels and mentoring apprentice pilots. Previously held roles include Class I Pilot, Management Assistant to the Director of Maritime Affairs, Marine Accident Investigator, and Manager of Melville Street Cruise Terminal. Lazarus has also gained experience through a training attachment with Trinidad and Tobago Pilots' Association and as a Deck Officer Cadet with Shell Trading. Lazarus holds an impressive educational background, including a Master’s Degree in Marine Transport with Management from Newcastle University and various diplomas and certificates in marine surveying, oil and gas shipping, and port management from institutions such as Lloyd's Maritime Academy and the Caribbean Maritime University.
