Laura Kevany is an experienced economist currently serving as Assistant Principal Economist at the Department of Public Expenditure & Reform since June 2021. Previously, Laura held economist positions at the Department of the Environment, Climate and Communications, focusing on energy policy, and at the Department of Public Expenditure & Reform in the Climate Change Unit, where contributions included updating the methodology for valuing greenhouse gas emissions in the Public Spending Code. Laura's career also includes roles as a junior administrator and in positions related to marketing, business development, and research, with early internships in wealth management and at the G8 Summit. Academic qualifications include a Master's Degree in Applied Economics from the University of Nottingham and a Bachelor's Degree in Joint Honours Business and Economics from Trinity College Dublin.
