Laura Bennett is an accomplished professional in the fields of museum management and conservation, currently serving as the Director of the Nova Scotia Museum since January 2020. With a dual role as the Manager of Collections for the Government of Nova Scotia, Laura oversees the stewardship of the Nova Scotia Museum's extensive collection while managing financial and human resources within the Collections Unit. Prior experience includes coordinating conservation and community outreach for the Canadian Sea Turtle Network and contributing as a researcher for the Canadian Parks and Wilderness Society. Laura's educational background comprises a Master of Environmental Studies and a Bachelor of Science in Marine Biology, both from Dalhousie University.
