Catherine Cano GCB.D currently serves as the Representative of Quebec at the Canadian Delegation to UNESCO, a position held since October 2023. Catherine has extensive experience in leadership roles, including membership in the International Women's Forum and the Board of Directors for Journalists for Human Rights. An esteemed academic, Catherine is a guest professor at the University of Ottawa in the International Development and Globalization department. Previous positions include Chief Operating Officer at the Organisation internationale de la Francophonie and Executive Director of News Programs at Radio-Canada. Highlights of Catherine's career include recognition as one of Canada's top 100 most powerful women by the Women Executive Network and being a Fellow of the Royal Canadian Geographical Society. Catherine's educational background includes a BA in Political Science from the University of Ottawa and certifications in media management and ESG governance.
