Erin Squires

Erin Squires is the Chief of Staff to the CEO at GovernmentCIO. Erin has over a decade of experience in the public and private sectors, including investment banking, strategy consulting, and venture capital.

Erin began their career at Goldman Sachs as a Summer Associate in the Public Sector & Infrastructure Banking group. Erin then joined Booz Allen Hamilton as a Senior Consultant in the Strategy & Organization practice, where they worked with clients in the public and private sectors on strategic planning and organizational design.

In 2012, Erin joined RBC Capital Markets as an Investment Banking Associate in the Municipal Finance group, where they advised state and local governments on financing for infrastructure projects. During their time at RBC, they also worked on environmental, social, and governance (ESG) financing transactions. In 2014, they left RBC to join the University of California Office of the President as a Capital Markets Finance Officer.

In 2017, Erin returned to the private sector as a finance and strategy consultant to venture stage tech firms in the social impact space. Erin served as Interim VP of Finance at Samasource, a company that connects AI digital work for Fortune 50 companies to low-income areas in developing countries. Erin also served as Co-Head of Public Finance for Neighborly, a Series A broker-dealer modernizing the environmental and social impact bond markets.

In November 2018, Erin joined GovernmentCIO as Chief of Staff to the CEO. In this role

Erin Squires received a BS in Economics from Duke University. Erin then went on to earn an MPA in Public Policy from the New York University - Wagner Graduate School of Public Service. Finally, they completed their MBA in Finance, Managerial & Organizational Behavior from The University of Chicago Booth School of Business.

They work with Stephen Hughes - Chief Financial Officer, Andrew Underhill - Chief Technology Officer, and Paul Thorson - VP, Human Resources. Their manager is Brian Moran, Chief Executive Officer.
