Sonia Dalmia

Sonia Dalmia currently serves as the Dean of the College of Business at Governors State University since September 2023. Dalmia has been a Peer Reviewer for the Higher Learning Commission since 2016. Prior to the current position, Dalmia held the role of Associate Dean of Graduate Programs, New Initiatives, and Outreach at Seidman College of Business, Grand Valley State University from June 2022 to September 2023. Dalmia's extensive experience at Grand Valley State University (1999 - September 2023) includes positions such as Assessment Director, Full Professor of Economics, Interim Assistant Vice President of Academic Affairs - Assessment, Accreditation and Planning, and Chair of the Department of Economics. Dalmia earned a Ph.D. in Economics from The University of Iowa Tippie College of Business, along with multiple degrees in Economics from institutions including the University of Oklahoma and Delhi University.
