Jacob Putnam attended Shelley High School from 1988 to 1991, where they obtained their High School Diploma. Jacob then enrolled in Brigham Young University - Idaho from 1994 to 1996, earning an Associate's degree in Math. Afterwards, Jacob attended Utah State University from 1996 to 1998, where they obtained a Bachelor's degree in Statistics.
