William Vespi has over 20 years of professional experience in the technology industry. William began their career in 1995 as a Lieutenent in the Italian Army. In 1996, they were a Hardware & System Design Lead at Marelli - FIAT. In 1997, they joined STMicroelectronics as a Product & Strategic Marketing Manager, eventually becoming a Director of Marketing & Business Development. From 2007 to 2010, they were the Deputy General Manager of the Wireless Business Group at Numonyx. William then moved to Micron Technology in 2010, where they served as the Sr. Director of Strategic Planning & Ecosystem, and later as the Director of Ecosystem and Strategic Initiatives. In 2014, they were the Venture Development Officer (former Strategic Planning) at M31 Italia srl, Si14 SpA, where they were responsible for DealFlow Lead, Innovation Head, Change Management, and Lean Startup Head. William was also the Strategy & Product Management Head of WearIT project at Si14 SpA, WearIT srl. Since 2018, they have been the Chief Innovation Officer at GoVolt Mobility.

William Vespi completed their Master Degree in Electronic Engineering & Computer Science (EECS), Microelectronics from Alma Mater Studiorum – Università di Bologna between 1988 and 1994. In 2010, they obtained a Japanese Language Proficiency Test: 日本語能力試験 (Nihongo Nōryoku Shiken) JLPT N4; B1.2 CEFR Certified from Istituto Superiore di Cultura Orientale - Milan. In 2013, they obtained HSK三級 (Oct 2015), HSK二級 (Oct 2014), and HSK一級 (May 2014) from 意大利孔子大学帕多瓦(Ist. Confucio University Padova) and 意大利天主教大学孔子学院(Ist. Confucio University Cattolica Milano) for Chinese Language. William also has additional certifications from Coursera including Deep Learning Specialization (February 2018), Sequence Models (February 2018), Convolutional Neural Networks (November 2017), Improving Deep Neural Networks: Hyperparameter tuning, Regularization and Optimization (September 2017), Neural Networks and Deep Learning (September 2017), and Structuring Machine Learning Projects (September 2017).
