Alex Camenzind

Alex Camenzind is a Partner, Lawyer, and Patent Agent at Gowling WLG, starting in August 2017 and previously serving as an Associate in the same capacities. Prior experience includes a position as a Student-at-Law at Gowling WLG Canada from August 2016 to June 2017 and as a Research Associate at the University of Victoria from September 2009 to August 2013, where a focus was on developing mass spectrometry assays for clinical research. Alex undertook an Honours Research Project exploring protein interactions in Treponema species and was a Research Student at both the UVic Genome BC Proteomics Centre and Boehringer Ingelheim, contributing to projects on protein digestion automation and HIV-1 infection pathway research, respectively. Academic credentials include a Doctor of Law (JD) from the University of Alberta and a BSc Honours in Biochemistry from the University of Victoria.
