Liane Langstaff is a partner at Gowling WLG, serving in the Environmental Law and as co-leader of the ESG Advisory Services Practice since September 2017. Prior experience includes roles as a judicial law clerk at the Court of Appeal for Ontario and as an environmental lawyer associate at Gowling WLG Canada. Liane's legal career began with a focus on business development for Ontario Power Generation, where research centered on aboriginal consultation and renewable energy partnerships. Educational achievements include a Juris Doctor from Osgoode Hall Law School, an MBA with a focus on Sustainability from Schulich School of Business, and a BSc in Environmental Sciences from the University of Guelph. Additional research experience spans various projects addressing environmental law, corporate governance, and the socio-economic impacts of climate change on Indigenous communities.
