Eoin Balfe

Eoin Balfe has a diverse work experience spanning over 20 years. Eoin is currently serving as the Head of Compliance & Risk at GP Fund Solutions since December 2023. Prior to this role, Eoin worked at Northern Trust Corporation as the Vice President of Regulatory Risk & Oversight, where they also served as Vice President and Client Service Delivery Manager. Eoin's previous experience includes roles at National Bank of Abu Dhabi as Director of Compliance and Network Manager, and at BNY Mellon as the Vice President of Network Management and Corporate Actions Team Leader. Eoin also worked as a Corporate Actions Expert at BNP Paribas and as a Team Leader in the Corporate Actions group at Thomson Reuters. Eoin's expertise lies in compliance, risk management, client service delivery, regulatory guidance, and network management.

Eoin Balfe obtained a B.A. in European Studies from the University of Limerick, where they studied from 1996 to 2000. Eoin also participated in the Erasmus Programme at the Universidad de Sevilla for a year in 1998. Additionally, they completed a Graduate Diploma in Software Localisation at the University of Limerick from 2000 to 2001. Before attending university, Eoin Balfe completed their high school education at Copsewood College, Pallaskenry from 1994 to 1996, and at Mount Trenchard from 1990 to 1994. Eoin has also acquired additional certifications, including the Professional Certificate in International Investment Fund Services in 2019 from The Institute of Banking, the International Compliance Association - International Advanced Certificate in Compliance in 2016 from the International Compliance Association, and Transconstellation Academy from the Solvay Brussels School of Economics and Management (SBS-EM) - ULB in 2011.
