Prabakaran Muthukrishnan has a diverse work experience spanning over several decades. Prabakaran began their career at Bharat Petroleum Corporation Limited in 1981 as a Management Trainee and progressed through various field positions in sales, operations, and administration. Notable achievements include developing a strategic plan to optimize facility utilization, control losses, and enhance customer satisfaction. Prabakaran also played a crucial role in restructuring the organization.
In 2001, Prabakaran joined Reliance as a Senior Vice President in Supply and International Trading. Here, they implemented a two-tier logistics model to serve 1500 retail gas stations in India. Prabakaran also established three international hubs in the ARA region, Mediterranean region, and Southeast Asia.
Currently, Prabakaran Muthukrishnan is the Global Head of the Terminalling Business at Gulf Petrochem Group. In this role, they focus on positioning the company strategically in the energy sector and formulating long-term plans for the terminalling business. Prabakaran also develops investment strategies in alignment with global oil demand and supply trends.
Prabakaran Muthukrishnan pursued their Bachelor's Degree in Science from the University of Madras from 1970 to 1973. Prabakaran then went on to complete a Diploma in Law with a specialization in Company Law and Law of Banking from Annamalai University from 1976 to 1977. Continuing their educational journey, Prabakaran obtained a Master of Business Administration (M.B.A.) with a focus on Marketing/Marketing Management, General from Newport University between 1996 and 1997.
