Juan Ramiro Sarmiento

Juan Ramiro Sarmiento is a seasoned professional in public affairs and communications, currently serving as a Senior Strategist at GPS IMPACT since March 2024. With experience as the National Press Secretary for Run for Something from March 2023 to February 2024, Sarmiento focused on defending democracy and supporting young progressives in local and state elections. Previous roles include Press Secretary and Media Manager at Young Invincibles, District Communications Coordinator for the U.S. House of Representatives, and Senior Advisor for Public Policy in the Office of Mayor Sly James. Sarmiento also gained valuable experience as a special assistant in various capacities during the 2016 Democratic National Convention Committee and has held internships with the Congressional Hispanic Caucus Institute and Congressman Emanuel Cleaver, II. Educational background includes studies at The University of Kansas.
