Colin Barad

Colin Barad is an experienced engineer specializing in lightweight materials, currently working as an Ingénieur conception at Gradel since October 2021. Prior experience includes engineering internships at Technische Universität Kaiserslautern, where Colin conducted research and development on machines for separating individual fibers from continuous carbon filaments and for producing filaments of Microfibrillar Reinforced Composite (MFC) for 3D printing. Previous roles also include an engineering internship at Zwick Roell AG, focusing on enhancements of temperature-controlled chambers for material testing and developing nitrogen cooling equipment, as well as an engineering internship at Homag Germany, involving the design and construction of dust extraction hoods and fluid mechanics measurement systems. Colin holds a Master of Engineering in Mechanical Engineering from RPTU Kaiserslautern-Landau and a degree from Ecole nationale d'Ingénieurs de Metz.
