Cat Perry

Cat Perry is a software engineer who currently works at Grafana Labs. Cat has also worked as a front end engineer at Sift and as a full-stack web developer at Rent the Runway and various other companies. Perry has introduced Typescript into Sift's main Console application and has configured it so that the company can add TS incrementally to the JS/TS React app. Cat has also started a Frontend Guild where engineers can share, learn, and build consensus on practices that push the codebase forward. In addition, Perry has set codebase standards via incremental but impactful technology migrations, for everything from Babel plugins to ES6+ patterns to paradigm alts to React containment.

Cat Perry has a certificate in software engineering from the New York Code + Design Academy and a B.A. in environmental studies and social sciences from Oberlin College. Cat also has a full-stack JavaScript Techdegree from Treehouse in computer software engineering. In addition, they are certified by SCRUMstudy - Accreditation Body for Scrum and Agile as a Scrum Master and by the New York Code + Design Academy as a Software Engineer.

They are on a team with Matt Mendick - Director, Engineering, Natalia Bernarte - Engineering Manager, and Fedor Dikarev - Senior Software Engineer. Their manager is Anthony Woods, CTO & Co-Founder.
