Chris Marchbanks

Chris Marchbanks is a Senior Software Engineer at Grafana Labs. Chris has over five years of experience in the software engineering field. Prior to their current position, Chris was a Senior/Principal Software Engineer at Splunk from November 2018 to December 2020. Before that, they were a Senior Software Engineer at FreshTracks.io from January 2018 to November 2018, where they worked on building a SaaS Monitoring solution for Kubernetes. Chris started their career as a Software Engineer at Rally Software in October 2015, where they worked on improving the performance, maintainability, and scalability of the Java-based core Rally/CA Agile Central SaaS product. Chris also maintained a Clojure-based authentication microservice and replaced Solr with Elasticsearch. In their free time, Chris enjoys hiking and spending time with their family and friends.

Chris Marchbanks has a BS in Engineering Physics from Colorado School of Mines.
