David Kitchen

David Kitchen is the current Director of Engineering at Grafana Labs. Prior to their current position, they were an Engineering Manager at Cloudflare, Inc. from November 2014 to June 2020. There, they managed the Firewall, WAF and UI teams with a peak of 12 direct reports and an average of 8. David is currently managing the team for DDoS protection. From May 2013 to June 2013, they were a Technical Consultant at Hailo, providing architectural review of the existing solution as well as support transitioning to the Go language. From September 2012 to October 2014, they were the Founder and CTO of Microcosm CC Ltd. And from April 2010 to April 2013, they were the Founder and CEO of Büro 9. Before that, from April 2010 to January 2012, they were the Lead Solutions and Systems Architect within the R&D Labs at Yell Labs.

David Kitchen received a Masters of Science in Computer Science from Birkbeck, University of London.

They are on a team with Irina Marchuk - Software Engineer, Bryan Boreham - Distinguished Engineer, and Armand Grillet - Engineering Manager. David Kitchen reports to Anthony Woods, CTO & Co-Founder.
