Patrick Oyarzun

Patrick Oyarzun is currently a Senior Software Engineer at Grafana Labs. Prior to this, they worked as a Staff Software Engineer at Pivotal Software, Inc. from August 2019 to October 2021. Patrick was also a Technical Lead on both green-field and enterprise modernization efforts. Oyarzun has experience working with Rails, Spring, React, Vue, .NET, and other stacks. Patrick is an advocate for XP values and teaches through doing.

From January 2016 to August 2019, Oyarzun worked as a Software Engineer at Pivotal Labs. Patrick was again a Technical Lead on both green-field and enterprise modernization efforts. During their time at Pivotal Labs, they worked with various programming languages such as Rails, Spring, React, Vue, and .NET.

Oyarzun started their career as Lead Developer at Toast Mobile from November 2011 to December 2015. At Toast Mobile, they were responsible for full stack mobile application development. Patrick built REST apis in Go while building native android applications in Java.

Patrick Oyarzun's educational career includes a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science from the University of Louisiana at Lafayette.
