Sharon Wootton has worked in a variety of roles in the field of bioinformatics and data science. Sharon started their career at UC San Francisco & UC Berkeley as a graduate student researcher from August 2005 to December 2011. Sharon then joined Thermo Fisher Scientific in February 2012 as a Staff Bioinformatics Scientist, where they worked for seven years until September 2019. At Thermo Fisher Scientific, Sharon gained valuable experience in the field. Sharon currently holds the position of Associate Director, Bioinformatics and Data Science at GRAIL, where they have been since September 2019. Additionally, they have recently taken on the role of Director, Bioinformatics and Data Science at GRAIL starting from March 2023.
