Tom C Chien

Tom C Chien has a strong background in bioinformatics and process development. Tom C started their career at Illumina as a Senior Research Associate, where they developed programs in Matlab to process large sequencing datasets and conducted functional experiments on pre-production systems. Tom C then transitioned to the role of Process Development Engineer, where they developed data mining and optical alignment process tools in Matlab and received certifications in reliability engineering and Six Sigma. Tom C later moved to Grail, Inc. as a Bioinformatics Scientist, where they currently work.

Tom C Chien holds a Master's Degree in Bioinformatics, which they obtained from The Johns Hopkins University in 2014-2015. Prior to this, they also pursued a Master's Degree in Microbiology from San Jose State University from 2006 to 2008. Tom C'seducational journey began with a Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science from the University of California, Davis, which they completed between 1999 and 2003.
