Paul Briar

Paul Briar has extensive work experience in the technology industry. Paul currently works as a Frontend Team Lead at Grain Discovery, where they have been since 2022. Prior to that, they worked as a Web Developer on the React Team at VERB Interactive from 2021 to 2022. Before that, they held a Web Developer position at Imposium from 2020 to 2021, where they built web applications using React.js, Redux, and Typescript for clients such as Remax.

Paul also has experience at VERB Interactive as a Web Developer on the React Team from 2019 to 2020, where they focused on developing user interface components and implementing them in React.js workflows.

Earlier in their career, Paul worked as the Technology & Digital Lead at WCL Bauld General Insurance from 2016 to 2019, where they managed hardware and software, developed websites using HTML, CSS, and JavaScript, and implemented digital marketing strategies.

Before transitioning into the technology industry, Paul worked as a BMW Service Consultant at O'Regan's Automotive Group from 2012 to 2016, where they provided excellent customer service and performed various tasks related to vehicle repairs.

Paul began their professional career as an Underwriter at RSA Insurance from 2009 to 2012.

Paul Briar attended Kwantlen Polytechnic University from 2007 to 2009, where they studied Business/Commerce. Paul did not obtain a specific degree during this time. In addition to their formal education, Paul Briar has also completed the following certifications: "React: Design Patterns" from LinkedIn, obtained in December 2021, and "Application Security Awareness OWASP top 10 Course" from AppSec Labs, obtained in March 2021.
