Ben Buursma

Ben Buursma is the current principal of Rockford Christian School at Grand Rapids Christian Schools. Ben previously worked as a second grade teacher at Potomac Lighthouse Public Charter School from July 2012 to June 2013, and as a middle school science teacher at Sekolah Pelita Harapan from August 2010 to June 2012.

Ben Buursma's educational career began with him obtaining a Bachelor of Arts in Elementary Education from Calvin College. Ben then went on to obtain a Master of Arts in Teaching and Curriculum from Michigan State University.

Ben Buursma reports to Tom DeJonge, Superintendent. They are on a team with Graham Schultze - Principal, Grand Rapids Christian Elementary School Evergreen Campus, John Barkel - Principal, Grand Rapids Christian Elementary School Iroquois Campus, and Sara Seth - Principal, Grand Rapids Christian Middle School.
