Elizabeth Vanportfliet M.a.

Elizabeth VanPortfliet M.A., NCC, LPC is an experienced professional in higher education and mental health counseling, currently serving as the Associate Director of Veteran Services at Grand Rapids Community College since February 2013. Elizabeth oversees the day-to-day operations of the Veterans Services department, focusing on compliance with Veteran Affairs regulations, student veteran recruitment, and monitoring success rates. Additionally, Elizabeth has held various roles at Grand Rapids Community College, including Director of Disability Support and Veterans Academic Advisor. Recently, Elizabeth has expanded into private practice as the owner of Van Portfliet Intentional Counseling LLC, while also providing psychological support as an Independent Consultant with R3 Continuum. Elizabeth's educational background includes a Master's degree in Counseling Education from Western Michigan University and a Bachelor's degree from Grand Valley State University.
