Sophia Brewer is an Academic Librarian at Grand Rapids Community College since September 2007. Sophia manages collections and budgets, teaches information literacy classes, leads library initiatives, and contributes to campus-wide policies. Sophia also serves on the GRCC Strategic Leadership Team responsible for developing and implementing the college's strategic direction. Additionally, Sophia is the Inclusion Leader at GRCC, leading diversity, equity, and inclusion initiatives on campus. Sophia also serves as a Library Commissioner for the City of Grand Rapids and previously worked at the Grand Rapids Public Library in various capacities. Sophia holds a Master's degree in Library and Information Science.
