Shelly Stephens, MBA

Vice President for Finance and Administration at Grand Rapids Symphony

Shelly Stephens, MBA has worked for three organizations, beginning with the Grand Rapids Symphony in 2010. Shelly held the roles of Vice President for Finance and Administration, Vice President of Administration and Board Relations, Assistant Vice President of Administration and Board Relations, Senior Director of Legacy Planning and Special Projects, and Director of Leadership Gifts. In their role as Director of Leadership Gifts, Shelly was responsible for directing the Corporate, Foundation and Tax-Supported revenue components of the GRS' $10 million annual operating budget. Prior to this, Shelly worked for the West Michigan Symphony from 2008-2010 as the Director of Development. In this role, they were responsible for developing, implementing and evaluating fundraising programs consistent with the WMS' needs and goals. Before this, Shelly was self-employed as a Consultant from 2002.

Shelly Stephens holds a Master of Business Administration (MBA) from Grand Valley State University, which they obtained between 1997 and 1999. Shelly also holds a Bachelor of Business Administration (B.B.A.) from Washington State University, which they obtained between 1984 and 1987.
