Ladan Dadgar

Ladan Dadgar, Ph.D. has extensive work experience in healthcare data analytics and decision support. Ladan is currently serving as Director of Data Governance and Analytics/BI at Grand River Hospital. Prior to this, they held the role of Director of Purchasing, Decision Support, and Information Technology at Shared Services West. From 2012 to 2019, they worked at The Hospital for Sick Children as Director of Decision Support, leading a team that provided data analytics and reporting for data-driven decision-making. Before that, they served as Manager of Performance Measurement and Decision Support at The Credit Valley Hospital - Trillium Health Partners. Ladan began their career as a Senior Analyst at the Canadian Institute for Health Information (CIHI) and later worked as a Life Sciences and Healthcare Research Consultant at RBC - Knowledge Based Industries (KBI).

Ladan Dadgar, Ph.D. obtained their education in a chronological order. Ladan completed their Bachelor of Science degree in Textile Technology and Management from The University of Manchester in 1985, followed by a Master of Science degree in Medical and BioTextiles from the same university in 1987. Later, they pursued a Ph.D. in Biomedical Engineering (Experimental Surgery) with a focus on Biomaterials-Cardiovascular Prosthesis from Université Laval, which they completed in 1994. In addition to their academic qualifications, they have also obtained several certifications in fields such as healthcare management, business intelligence, leadership, lean methodology, critical thinking, strategic problem solving, and project management.
