Paul Neto has extensive work experience as an Occupational Therapist. Paul began their career at Sault Area Hospital in 2002, where they worked until 2009. From 2009 to 2010, they served as an Occupational Therapist at st. joseph's health care london. Paul then joined Grand River Hospital in 2010 and held various roles as an Occupational Therapist until 2019. In November 2020, they became a Clinical Team Lead at Grand River Hospital.

Paul Neto obtained a Master of Science in Health Sciences with a focus on Health Care Management from Trident University International from 2008 to 2011. Prior to that, they earned a Masters in Clinical Science in Occupational Therapy from Western University between 2000 and 2002. Paul also holds a Bachelor of Health Science degree from the same institution, which they obtained from 1996 to 2000. Paul Neto's secondary education was completed at St. Basil Secondary School from 1992 to 1996. In terms of additional certifications, they completed a concurrent disorders certificate program from the Temerty Faculty of Medicine at the University of Toronto in 2021. In 2017, Paul Neto obtained certifications in TEACH tobacco cessation from the Centre for Addiction and Mental Health (CAMH), Project Management from the Registered Nurses' Association of Ontario (RNAO), and Quality and Safety from the Institute for Healthcare Improvement/National Patient Safety Foundation.
