Chief Financial & Human Resources Officer at Grand Traverse Bay YMCA

Before coming to the Y, Ginny worked in public accounting for 6 years. Unfortunately, it wasn’t fulfilling for her; she wanted to work in the private sector so she could make a more meaningful impact and spend more time with her family. That’s when Ginny took a chance and joined the team at the YMCA.

Since transitioning to the Y, Ginny finally gets to make the difference she was looking to make through her skills as an accountant and she gets to be part of an organization that makes her proud, “not many people get to do that.”

The Y is aligned with Ginny’s personal mission of focusing on both family and health, and it’s important to her that the Y does that by focusing on the whole individual and the whole family, not just one aspect.
