Jimmie Hanes

Jimmie Hanes currently serves as a Visiting Professor of Graphic Design at Grand Valley State University, a position held since August 2023. With extensive experience in the design industry, Jimmie has worked as Creative Director at Ignite Creative & Design since April 2014 and previously held the same title at MindSpring from May 2022 to March 2025. Jimmie's academic background includes roles as Adjunct Faculty in the Graphic Design Department at Kendall College of Art and Design from 2007 to May 2022 and as Senior Art Director at Amway from May 2007 to September 2014. Jimmie began the career as an Art Director at Schawk/Ambrosi from 2002 to 2007 and at Wilson Sporting Goods Co. from March 2001 to February 2002. Educational qualifications include a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Illustration from Kendall College of Art and Design and an ongoing Master of Fine Arts in Graphic Design & Visual Experience from Savannah College of Art and Design, expected to be completed in April 2025.
