Jon Lieberkind

Jon Lieberkind is the CEO & Co-founder of Grandhood and he holds a Masters degree in Economics and Finance from the University of Copenhagen. During his studies he spent time abroad at the London School of Economics and UNC Kenan-Flagler Business School in Chapel Hill, North Carolina. Jon has Wall Street experience as a former Vice President and Investment Strategist with Bank of America Merrill Lynch in New York.

Jon worked for Bank of America Merrill Lynch in London from 2011-2013 with European equity research sales serving the largest Nordic pension funds. From 2013-2015 he worked as a U.S. investment grade credit strategist with Bank of America Merrill Lynch’s Global Research division in New York. Jon was subsequently promoted to Vice President with Bank of America Merrill Lynch’s Global Wealth & Investment Management division working closely with the CIO.

Jon has a truly global profile with experience from New York, London and Copenhagen. He also has a significant competitive advantage, as he enjoys experience from Bank of America Merrill Lynch’s equity sales platform in London, combined with credit research and wealth management experience in New York. This uniquely sets him apart from his peers in his ability to coherently understand financial services and cross-sell the entire platform. He is a true team player, and always manages to foster positive discussions and bring the best out of other team members.

Jon is a problem solver who is always able to address complex issues with strategy and confidence. His knowledge of cross-asset investing, asset allocation, portfolio construction and expertise in pension products has been key to the foundation of Grandhood. His uncanny ability to understand what clients want makes customers feel comfortable with him and rely on him as a trusted financial advisor.
