Andrew Major

Andrew Major is an experienced artistic director and conductor, currently serving as the Artistic Director & Conductor at Roots in the Sky since October 2012, where responsibilities encompass repertoire selection, singer auditions, performance arrangements, and financial management. Additional roles include Supplementary Chorister at the Grant Park Music Festival and Section Leader & Conducting Substitute at Glencoe Union Church. Notable past positions include Guest Conductor at the Handel Week Festival, Assistant Conductor at Apollo Chorus Of Chicago, and Graduate Assistant Conductor at Northwestern University across various ensembles. Andrew Major holds a Doctor of Musical Arts and a Master of Music in Choral Conducting from Northwestern University, along with a Bachelor of Arts in Music and a Bachelor of Science in Cell Biology & Neuroscience from Montana State University-Bozeman.
