Cristina Muresan

Cristina Muresan is an accomplished violinist with extensive experience in various orchestral settings. Since September 2004, Cristina has served as a substitute violinist with the Detroit Symphony Orchestra. Concurrently, since June 2001, Cristina has held the position of second violinist with the Grant Park Music Festival, also taking on the role of Assistant Concertmaster from 2007 to 2009. Cristina was the first violinist for the Toledo Symphony Orchestra from September 1999 to September 2006, where notable contributions included acting as a soloist and founding the Odyssey string quartet. Previously, Cristina was the concertmaster at the New World Symphony from September 1997 to September 1999 and a second violinist at the Opera Națională Română Cluj-Napoca from 1991 to 1995. Educational qualifications include a Master's Degree in Music Performance (Violin) from Bowling Green State University and a Bachelor's Degree in Interpretare vioara from The National Academy of Music "Gheorghe Dima" Cluj-Napoca.
