Michael Gair, P.Eng.

Michael Gair, P.Eng. has a diverse work experience spanning several roles and industries. Michael began their career at Canadian Innovation Centre in 2001 as a Market / Invention Analyst. In this role, they provided third-party market and invention analysis for various clients, assessing the potential for intellectual property protection and market viability. Michael'swork output was utilized to support external funding opportunities.

In 2004, Michael joined Grantek as a Team Leader, Project Manager, and Systems Engineer. Michael led projects and teams, utilizing their engineering expertise. Over the next few years, they progressed within the company, serving as the Corporate Quality Coordinator, Regional Director for the Northwest, Senior Director of Engineering, and Senior Director of Products.

In their most recent role at Grantek, Michael holds the position of Senior Director of Strategic Operations. Michael brings their strategic mindset and operational expertise to lead the company's strategic initiatives.

Between their roles at Grantek, Michael spent a year at Vancouver General Hospital working in the Biomedical Engineering Department.

Michael Gair, P.Eng. completed their Bachelor of Science (BSc) degree in Computer Engineering (Hardware) from Queen's University from 1999 to 2003. Michael further pursued their education and obtained a Master of Engineering (M.Eng.) degree in Biomedical Engineering from The University of British Columbia between 2010 and 2012.

In addition to their educational background, Michael holds several certifications. Michael obtained the P.Eng. (Professional Engineer) certification from Engineers and Geoscientists BC in 2012. Michael also completed the Leadership Development Program (LDP) from the Center for Creative Leadership in November 2014. Most recently, in September 2022, Michael achieved the PMC Level III certification from Pragmatic Institute.
