Lauren Steiner

Owner + Founder at Grants Plus

Lauren Steiner has a diverse work experience that started in 1996 as Program Director at Cleveland Filmmakers, where they created and implemented a program development plan for an educational and networking program. Lauren then worked as an Associate at Porter Wright Morris & Arthur in 2001, where they reviewed and edited bylaws for a non-profit organization, drafted performance contracts, and advised on venue liability. Next, they became the Development Director at West Side Catholic Center in 2002, where they directed fundraising and development activities for the organization and created a comprehensive development plan. Lauren also taught film undergraduate courses at Cleveland State University and Case Western Reserve University starting in 2002 and 2019, respectively. In 2004, they worked as the Manager of Foundation and Donor Relations at Achievement Centers for Children before founding Grants Plus in 2007 and became its President until September 2022. At Grants Plus, they provided grant writing and management services to non-profit organizations. Lauren also served as a Member of the Board of Advisors for SimplyFundraisingCRM in 2021.

Lauren Steiner received their BS in Telecommunications (Radio, TV and Film) from Ohio University in 1995. Lauren then went on to attend Cleveland State University - Cleveland-Marshall College of Law, graduating with their JD in 2001.
