James Hiddlestone

James Hiddlestone has a diverse work experience spanning different industries. James currently works as a Commercial Finance Manager at Graphene Manufacturing Group Ltd, where they focus on developing applications for energy-saving and energy storage solutions. Prior to this, James worked at Qubik as a Business Improvement Manager and GM Advisory Services, providing accounting and advisory services to support business growth. James also served as the Financial Controller & Company Secretary at Hiway Stabilizers Australia Pty Limited, where they contributed to the design and delivery of stabilisation solutions for road construction and infrastructure projects. James previously held roles at Queensland Rail as a Project Controls Manager, where they managed commercial accountability for rail infrastructure projects, and at the Department of Housing and Public Works as a Principal Management Accountant on a short-term contract. James also took a career break to complete personal projects and spend time with family. Earlier in their career, James worked at Cleanaway Waste Management as a Finance Business Partner, Regional Accountant/Administration Manager/Customer Service Manager, Business Analyst, and Management Accountant. James began their professional journey at Repco as an Office Coordinator and later worked at Trinity Auto Group in service and sales management roles. Overall, James has extensive experience in finance, commercial management, project controls, and business improvement.

James Hiddlestone obtained a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree in 2003 from James Cook University, with a focus on Business Administration. In 2008, they completed their Master of Professional Accounting (MProfAcc) degree from Southern Cross University, specializing in Professional Accounting. James also obtained certifications from CPA Australia and the Governance Institute of Australia, with the titles of Certified Public Accountant (CPA) and Fellow of the Governance Institute of Australia (FGIA), respectively. The additional certification of Fellow was obtained in March 2023, further enhancing James' professional qualifications.
